Day ONE: Sunday... yep, Mothers day, May 13, 2007

JB and I drove up here today together. Scott was already here. Stopped at The Mad Greek for a greasy burger then got to the MGM grand in time for check in. Had dinner with a good friend of mine at Emeril's in the MGM. Good pork chop! Then it was off to our media press conference at 6ish... ok we arrived fashionably late, but it was worth it to see REBA McENTIRE!

After our media briefing, Scott and I got intimate with our sponsor... AFLAC -I'm still trying to find a way to sneak the duck out of the conf. room. We wanna take him up and down the strip in Vegas!

My room is nice. On the 17th floor... I get to hear the Vegas Tour Helicopters fly by all night...

I was talking on the phone to my son Alex (who was missing me badly) as I popped in 10 bucks on a slot machine. He wished me "luck luck" as we say at my house and out popped 100 bucks! No wonder they don't let kids in casino's. They are born lucky! More tomorrow (Monday) for the beginning of our ACM artist interviews. Stay Tuned! One last thing: The Good news is this year MY ANKLE ISN'T BROKEN LIKE IT WAS LAST YEAR! SO I can actually enjoy this trip! WOO HOO!
